F700 PowrGard
Asphalt
Emulsion Coating

USES: F700 PowrGard protects surfaces exposed to the weather. PowrGard is an excellent protective coating for roofs, foundations, concrete, metal, and wood. PowrGard may be applied to install PolyWeb waterproofing sheets. PowrGard is compatible with SEBS, APP, and SBS modified bitumen roofing products and will adhere to most surfaces including roofing, wood, metal, glass, and concrete.

DIRECTIONS: F700 PowrGard is friendly to apply, especially in warm, dry conditions. PowrGard sets up in approximately 1 to 4 hours, depending on weather conditions. Apply with a medium stiff bristle brush or asphalt emulsion spray equipment. Do not apply PowrGard if rain or excessive humidity is imminent either during or immediately following application; or if the outside temperature is below 50° F. Clean gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Make sure the application surface is smooth, firm, frost-free, and dry. Apply PowrGard directly from the container without diluting. Thoroughly mix PowrGard just prior to application. Generously apply PowrGard as a roof coating at the uniform rate of 3 gallons per 100 square feet, and as a foundation coating at the uniform rate of 2 gallons per 100 square feet. Prior to coating, seal any leaking penetrations with M300 RubrMastic and PolyWeb, and repair all fissures. Make a 3 layer repair with PowrGard and PolyWeb over fissures and degraded areas. First brush a generous application of PowrGard over the repair area and beyond the width and length of the PolyWeb you intend to install. Second, lightly brush the PolyWeb into the PowrGard. Third, carefully brush a generous application of PowrGard over the entire repair, making sure to completely cover the PolyWeb. For severe fissures, apply additional layers of PolyWeb and PowrGard. To install PolyWeb waterproofing sheets with PowrGard, uniformly apply 3 gallons per 100 square feet of PowrGard in a 3 foot wide strip as an adhesive under the first roll of PolyWeb. Set the PolyWeb into the PowrGard, making sure it unrolls straight and without any wrinkles. Carefully press the unrolled PolyWeb into the PowrGard by lightly brushing the surface until complete adhesion is achieved. Do not step on the PolyWeb until the PowrGard has set up. Continue installing each successive roll of PolyWeb by overlapping the prior sheet 2" on the sides. For each additional layer of PolyWeb, repeat the above process using 3 gallons per 100 square feet of PowrGard in a complete interply application. Center the rolls of each additional layer of PolyWeb over the seams of the prior layer. Apply a final surface coating of PowrGard at the uniform rate of 3 gallons per 100 square feet. For maximum protection and reduced energy costs, apply M800 RubrStar over the PowrGard after set up.

DESCRIPTION: F700 PowrGard is a quality asphalt emulsion manufactured from 100% oxidized roofing asphalt. PowrGard has been engineered to provide a Class A Fire Rating over most roofs. PowrGard provides superior elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof caused by temperature changes. In addition, the sun's UV rays attack the roof membrane making it brittle and weak, inducing membrane ruptures during thermal shock cycles. PowrGard is your best defense against these attacks. With PowrGard, your roofing and waterproofing installations will perform much longer. PowrGard is asbestos free.

SPECIFICATIONS: F700 PowrGard exceeds the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 1227 Type 3, Class 1. Maximum VOC 0 grams per liter.
