ASTM E 108: Class A noncombustible deck at a 1ž4 in 12 slope
Construction #1: ENRGY 2, Fesco Foam or DuraBoard, 1.5 in. (38
mm) min thickness, is placed over the deck and mechanically fastened to
the deck with UltraFast (metal) plates and screws or Standard plates and
CD-10 screws applied at 4 ft2 max tributary area per fastener. Retro-Fit
Board, GAFTEMP Permalite Recover, Permalite Recover Board only is hot
mopped to the insulation. The base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base
sheet) is hot mopped to the Retro-Fit Board. An optional ply sheet is
hot mopped to the base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet). The
cap sheet hot mopped with hot asphalt. Meets Class 1-90.
Construction #2: ENRGY 2 (not with Wood Fiber coverboard), Fesco
Foam or DuraBoard, 1.5 in. (38 mm) min thickness is loose laid over the
deck. Min 1 in. 925 mm) thick Esgard, Celotex Fiberboard, GAFTEMP Fiberboard,
Huebert Fiberboard, min 3ž4 in. (19 mm) thick Fesco Board, Permalite,
GAFTEMP Permalite or 1ž2 in (13 mm) Retro-Fit Board, GAFTEMP Permalite
Recover, Permalite Recover Board is placed over the insulation and mechanically
fastened to the deck with UltraFast (metal) plates and screws or Standard
plates and CD-10 screws applied at 2 ft2 max tributary area per fastener.
The base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet) is hot mopped to the
cover board. Up to two optional ply sheets are hot mopped to the base
sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet). The cap sheet is hot mopped
with asphalt. Meets Class 1-90.
Construction #3: Concrete. ENRGY 2, Fesco Foam or DuraBoard, 1.5
in (38 mm) min thickness is hot mopped to a primed structural
concrete deck. An optional cover board may be hot mopped to the insulation.
The base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet) is hot mopped to the
insulation or cover board. An optional ply sheet is hot mopped to the
base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet). The cap sheet is hot mopped
with asphalt. Meets Class 1-90.
Construction #4: Recover. Retro-Fit Board, GAFTEMP Permalite Recover,
Permalite Recover Board 1ž2 in. (13 mm) thick, is adhered with hot asphalt
to a smooth surfaced BUR. The base sheet (or ply sheet used as a base
sheet) is hot mopped. An optional ply sheet is hot mopped to the base
sheet (or ply sheet used as a base sheet). The cap sheet is hot mopped.
Meets Class 1-60/1-90 per the existing roof.
Construction #5: Concrete. Fesco Board, Permalite or GAFTEMP Permalite,
min 3ž4 in. (19 mm) thick, is hot asphalt to a primed structural concrete
deck. The cap sheet is hot mopped. Meets Class 1-225.
